Christmas Closure

Christmas has got to be my most favourite time of year and this year we are really excited to be taking a couple weeks off to fly to New Zealand to spend time with our family. This year our Christmas closure dates will be from the 23rd December to the 16th January. With my growing tummy and now being nearly 7 months pregnant I’m very much looking forward to putting my feet up for a couple weeks while having a short break from weddings. I will still be accessing my emails during this time but will only be replying to any urgent emails from our existing brides as I also need to get in a little baby shower planning!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Years break. Thank you to all our wonderful brides, vendors, staff and suppliers for all your continued support throughout this year.

(Below is an amazing food pic to get you all excited about christmas dinner! From our Byron Bay Hinterland shoot with Cloud Catcher Studio)

Beau & Megan – Brisbane Wedding

Back in March we had the honour of styling and coordinating Megan & Beau’s gorgeous Sirromet Wedding. Inspiration for the styling came from the surroundings and the venue. The rustic brick walled Barrel Room and the beautiful White Chapel were used as inspiration to bring together this beautiful wedding full of soft coloured florals. The wow factor for the reception styling has got to be the giant white urn vases that were utilised as the centrepiece for each table. Although the photos don’t really do these justice they were really spectacular (and a slight mission to transport to the venue!).

Thank you so much Megan and Beau for being the most chilled out and amazing couple to work with! I seriously loved every moment of your wedding day.

xx

Sam & Dayle’s Noosa Wedding

Back in July I had the honour of styling my beautiful cousin’s wedding in Noosa. Being my first wedding I’ve actually looked after all the styling for and  attended thankfully I had an amazing team of vendors to help me bring this all together.

This has got to be one of my favourite weddings I’ve attended to date. A few of the highlights have got to be the oyster, prawn and Moet bars! All the food in general from Sails and of course the beautiful location and weather. Seriously a stunning wedding and captured perfectly by Karen Buckle Photography.

Thank you so much Dayle and Sam for in trusting me with one of the most memorable and significant days of your life!

Thanks to the following vendors for helping bring this all together:

  • Floral Design: Bella Bloom Floral Design
  • Styling and Hire: Adorn Event Hire, CL Weddings & Events and Simply Style Co
  • Photos: Karen Buckle Photography
  • Ceremony Location: Hidden Grove, Noosa
  • Reception Venue: Sails, Noosa

Exciting update!

For some of you wondering why we have been a little more quiet than normal over the past couple months I thought it was about time to write a blog post to explain what I’ve been up to. Firstly if you haven’t seen on our Instagram account we are expecting our first baby in March 2017! We are so beyond excited and also a little nervous about whats to come. In between my morning sickness (which is still hanging around at 16 weeks pregnant), my tutoring job with the Australian Wedding Academy and working behind the scenes on our spring weddings I have hardly had a chance to keep up to date with my blog and social media accounts. I do really miss blogging and sharing my experiences with you all. I really do plan to get back on track with blogging over the next couple months so if there is anything you’d love to hear about please comment below or send me an email.

Due to expecting a baby early March at our busiest of time of year for weddings I’ve also made the decision that we wont be taking on any more bookings for 2017. We already have several amazing weddings we are working on and I know I really need to keep the bookings to a realistic number especially during the first half of 2017. We will be focusing on bookings for 2018 from now moving forward so if you want to enquire about our 2018 packages please submit an enquiry here.

Xx

This wedding had so many beautiful elements from the handmade calligraphy place cards to the hot chocolate bar and a stunning sunset ceremony under hanging glass balls and festoon lights!  Matt being a photographer himself also decided to bring over Jeff Newsom from America to capture their wedding day.

Thank you so much to you both for letting us be a part of your special day!

Update!

Ok so I’ve been totally slack with blogging lately and I do miss it a lot! I have just been so incredibly busy the past few months that I might of slacked off a bit on the not so important tasks… Getting ready for our upcoming weddings has been my priority the past few months which I’m so incredibly excited about. Due to the amount of bookings we have taken on we have now decided to close of our 2016 bookings. So we can always ensure we give all our brides our full attention we keep our numbers to a manageable amount of weddings each year.

Our wedding season officially kicks off for March with March, April and May being our busiest months of the year. I can’t wait to share some more of the stunning weddings we have coming up. It makes me so excited and all the hard work is definitely worth it at the end of the day!

We are also currently looking for another casual staff member to join our team for the upcoming wedding season. If you’re interested please send through an email to lisa@willowtreecreative.com.au explaining why you think you would be suited to the position. Just be warned now it is a lot of hard work!

I’m also taking a little break in 2 weeks to head to New Zealand to help out with the Wild Hearts Wedding Fair in Nelson. If you are in New Zealand this is definitely a fair you don’t want to miss. It is going to be amazing and I’m so excited to be part of it. I will be assisting Karen from Perfect Style run a floral crown workshop. There are tickets still available so make sure you get in contact ASAP with the Wild Hearts team to book a spot!

Real Wedding – Velleron House – Mel & Mark

Mel & Mark’s wedding was one of my favourites from 2015. Working with such a creative and organised bride made my job so much easier! Mel had lots of amazing ideas for how she wanted her wedding to come together. Utilising the beautiful surroundings of Velleron House in Northern NSW it was the most stunning of backdrops for an outdoor wedding. Working with local vendors this wedding came together perfectly with some elegant styling touches that complimented the space. This wedding really had it all! Including a vintage caravan serving drinks, a wood fired pizza truck and a surprise fireworks display!

Thank you so much to Mel and Mark for choosing us to be part of their special day!

Tropical themed Baby Shower

Last month I hosted a little baby shower at my house for my lovely friend Emma! I have to say this was my first Baby Shower I’ve styled so I really had no idea what to expect. I’ve also never really attended a baby shower so it was all a learning curve for me. My amazing friend Emma (who is also super organised and extremely creative) decided on the theme for this event. As her husband is from the Cook Islands we went for a tropical island theme but also decided to keep the colours very neutral as they wont be finding out the gender of their baby.

This was so much fun to organise and as so many of my friends and pervious brides are now starting to go through the process of having their first child I look forward to styling many more baby showers!
I hope you all enjoy the photos.

xx
